5083-H116
Marine plate for hulls: 215 MPa proof, 305 MPa tensile from 3 to 50 mm, tested against exfoliation corrosion.
H116 and H321 are the tempers made for hulls: the mill proves, by ASTM G66 (exfoliation) and G67 (intergranular, ≤ 15 mg/cm²) tests and a reference micrograph, that the plate will not exfoliate in seawater (UR W25 §8.5). Ordinary H22/H32 or H24/H34 plate of the same strength has no such proof. Eurocode 9 Table 3.2a has no row for either temper, so there are no fo/fu or HAZ values from it here; after welding the zone next to the weld falls back towards the O/H111 strength.
