EN-GJS-400-15
Ferritic ductile iron: Rm 400 MPa, Rp0.2 250 MPa, elongation 15 % — castable like iron, tough like steel.
Graphite in spheres instead of flakes keeps the iron ductile. The designation states minimum tensile strength and elongation (400 MPa, 15 %). Used for pipes, valves, crankshafts and machine parts. Values fall with wall thickness.

For design and acceptance, the standard edition named in your specification and the inspection certificate (EN 10204 3.1) of the delivered product take precedence. Design factors are recommended values; your National Annex may set others.
